13 Months!

13 months from today Mike and I are getting married!!  I realized I haven't posted for over a month, no wonder no one reads this blog!  We have the church booked and reception booked, we had the photographer and caterer booked before that (yes, we are doing things backwards) and I now think I might have found my dress!  I won't post a picture of it, but I tried it on in Toronto last week and am in love!  My girls and I are going dress shopping this weekend, and I am going to show it to them!  Super excited!  Just thought I would share that with y'all, if there is actually anyone who reads this.  <3

Something blue...

Oh my goodness I just saw these and they are too cute!



And I ordered some pink colour swatches for those bridesmaid dresses in my last post!  First wedding related purchase that wasn't just planning materials!

Bridesmaids!

I am pretty sure I just found the perfect bridesmaid dresses!  They are convertible so my girls can wear them however they are comfortable but still match each other and look ultra cute in the photos.  I was looking at other convertible dresses and fell in love with the idea but the other ones didn't have the personality if these dresses or the modesty panel that comes with them, as well as they are much more affordable!

Also we think we found a venue!  Haven't booked it yet because I am having some anxiety about the size (the capacity is 125 which is ok if we stick to our 100 guest list but I might want a little more wiggle room).  We will see.  It's Jervis Bay Legion, brand new building with lots of parking and not too far from the church or hotels either uptown or out east.  We will see!

Most boring blog ever?

So since the start of my blog I have done zero wedding related activities at all, still trying to come up with reception locations (near hotels but that we can bring in our own caterer, suggestions welcome).  I have still been gawking at one dress though that I just can't get out of my head!!!  Here is a picture, now if only it wasn't over twice my budget... 

Joining the masses...

So I have decided to join the masses and start a wedding blog because well, I love weddings and including people (who want to be included) in the planning of mine!  Mike and I are planning to get hitched July 14th, 2012 at the beautiful Stone Church here in Saint John.  The rest is yet to be determined!  Keep up to date with my ideas and feel free to add your input here!  This is an exciting time for us, as we are only planning on doing it once!
